March 3, 2009 I had went to the dr. a few weeks back for sinus problems. My dr. gave me amoxicillin to take. After 1 week, My sinus infection was not any better at all so he gave me 400mg of avelox to take once a day for 10 days. I immediately experienced dizziness and extreme bouts of tiredness. Since that was the primary warning on the label I did not pay it any attention and continued to take the meds. After 6 days of taking the meds I have decided to discontinue using the meds. I have experienced some severe side effects which are dizziness, fatigue, increased headaches, upset stomach, extremely loose stool, stomach cramps, blurred vision and severe and almost debilitating ankle pain, leg pain, knee pain, wrist pain, elbow pain, shoulder pain, lower back pain and neck pain. I have also had a rapid heart rate so bad at times it feels like my heart is going to beat right out of my chest. I feel anxious and very short tempered as well. I am snappy with my loved ones for no reason at all and what is worst is I still have severe sinus pressure and pain as if the infection hasn't even went away. The only plus is that I can breathe clearly through my nose for the first time in 3 and a half weeks. I guess that's not really much of a trade off now is it.
