I was prescribed the generic form of Yasmin by my ob/gyn for irregular periods, severe cramps and as a way to treat my endometriosis (insurance won't pay for a laproscopy until I try some sort of pill). I started taking it two weeks ago and in that time frame, I have had severe mood swings, fatigue and cannot eat because of my stomach hurting while suffering from nausea all the time. I even had to call my family doctor and he prescribed me Compazine for the nausea because I literally could not function. I am not the same person I was before starting the treatment. As a stay at home mother of a two year old, I have just decided this morning, that I am going to stop taking Yasmin for myself (my health) and my child. As a matter of fact, I threw the rest of the pack away down the sink. It is not worth all of these side effects when I cannot function during the day. Thank you for sharing your stories with me. At least I know that I am not alone. Andrea-Pittsburgh PA

I have a two year old child. Because of the side effects I was experiencing, I was having trouble functioning durinig the day which made it tough because I am a stay at home mom.
