I have been off Lisinopril since 7/08 and I still get that awful left rib cage pain. It is debilitating pain almost like shingles. I have not found a diagnosis yet.
I have been fighting this pain in under my left ribs for 8 months. It is on the inside and the ribs are not tender. After scans with contrast and X-rays nothing shows up with nothing..Finally the doctor put me on lyrica 50 mg. twice a day. I take one at night and one in the day..I can not work on the day pill, so I only take one at night, but after one wonderful week the pain has came back...I don't know if it was the shingles or if the lyrica was covering up something...Any suggestions..
Did you get a shingles test? My brother and Grandfather has had shingles and it was always visible. This is not, right? The other thing in my research made me think of a hernia. I went to the 1/2 dose until I see my doctor, but the pain has not come back.
Go to another doctor if you get no answers. I hope the best for you.
