I just got the Mirena about 4 weeks ago and have not had any symptoms outside of my normal PMS symptoms...until today. My ENTIRE abdomen is swollen and tender to touch, and I have so much gas built up I feel like exploding. Nothing is helping this issue. I have contracted the flu on the first day of my period and this may only be related to the flu (although I've never had this happen with the flu before). Has anyone ever felt like this? I can't even turn over in bed the pain is so great.

I suffered severe bloating about 2 weeks ago for a week & do have increased wind too.

At times recently my abdomen has been very sore & I almost dropped my daughter (8 months) after an excruciating cramp hit me while I was lifting her into her cot. I got her in unscathed & then curled in a ball on her floor while it passed, took a good 5 minutes. That night, after the painful cramp I had moderate PMS like cramping, but trying to pass a bowel movement that night was awful, I was in tears from the pressure of pushing.

I was terribly constipated after the birth of my youngest (c section) & my abdomen was very sore, but this was far worse than that!

I have had the Mirana since Aug of 2008, now I don't know anything about the the flu but, I have had cramping and bloating so severe for the past 2 weeks. that I thought I was pregnant. Two weeks ago my stomach was flat and now it look like I am 3 months pregnant and no matter what gas pill I take my stomach won't go down. I am seriously thinking about taking this out this week.
