Hi everyone, I was on Lisinopril for about 3 months. I ended up having a really bad panic attack, numbness, thought I was having a heart attack. I even had the cough, which was the worse. I am glad to say that I stopped taking the medicine and its been about a month now, I still have the heart racing, but its few and far between, but everything else is pretty much gone. No more coughing, no more tingling, I still get anxious (anxiety) every now and then, but hopefully that will disappear soon as well. There is hope after lisinopril.

wondering how you are today...?? I have had terrible side effects from this RX.... and my Dr put me back on it saying that it was my panic...(which I never had before)....I started taking half dosage yesterday to slowly get off of lisinipril. I tried cold turkey, but my BP went to 160/105... and I am usually 135/86

I am doing well. I am now taking atenolol, I still have some anxiety issues, but my pressure has gone down. I now stay in the range of 122/84 or 119/74. I checked my pressure tonight and it was 113/76, so the atenolol is working for me. I also changed my eating habits and exercise more. Ask your doc about the atenolol. It may work, let me know what you think. Take care.
