i have scheduled to have my Mirena removed because i need to know...

I can't comment on the depression or back pain as I didn't have any of that...but I did have weight gain, most of which was bloat, and this was gone within 2 weeks of removal. The acne....I NEVER had acne, not even as a teenager....then at 43, I get the Mirena and end up with cystic, painful acne on my face, chin, jawline and shoulders....unreal. Nothing (not even Proactiv) budged it. They never healed and the bumps never popped like normal pimples do....they just got big, hard and angry looking. Within a week of removing the Mirena, the acne started to clear. No new bumps popped up and after about a month, the last of the bumps finally cleared. If you didn't have acne pre-Mirena, then you can say, with confidence, that it is the Mirena causing this. It should be listed as a MAJOR side effect....because every woman that reports this side effect seems to describe it in the same way...big, cystic and painful! It's not our imagination!!!!
