I just had my iud removed this Friday. I gained 20 pounds during the ten months I had mirena. I also was extremely moody - given prozac - and felt like I had an inertube around my tummy. I had no interest in sex, lost my hair - ugh! So, I had it removed at 2:00 on Friday, slept almost all of the weekend and woke up today (Sunday) feeling really good...have already lost three pounds.

good for you i am hopping to get mine removed this thursday what other symptoms did you suffer keep in touch karen
