Good to find this blog. I too have had side affects from this drug. In Sept. and Oct. I was hospitalized with bacterial pneumonia in both lungs after being on antibiotic for two days for a sinus infection. I have to say that this drug did help save my life, but the problems it has left are concerning. I have been off of it since the end of Nov. The most difficult problem is the not sleeping (medication for this helps). The tingling is getting better as of this month (April), but the weight gain has been horrible 20 pounds now. I did have the joint pain which still occurs, but not as severe. Four weeks ago, another ER trip and pneumonia again. I begged them NOT to put me on predisone unless it was to save my life. I thought that all of my problems I was having was due to my being so ill. Now, I find that the drug has caused them and I am concerned that some won't go away. I'm 60 and a very active person. I ended up having to leave my job and go on disability. Thanks for reading this. It feels very theraputic to write this down.
