Have any of you suffered from really bad constipation whilst on Yasmin ???. Im at home now and i look five months pregnant. I keep taking senna tablets but it just isnt working. I eat really healthily drink loads of water. The only thing i can put it down to is Yasmin but im not sure if its just me if noone else has had it on Yasmin. Also have the following: *melasma on top lip that looks like a moustache. *cant stop eating constantly. *really dry mouth, constantly thirsty. *anxiety. *feel down on myself I can only take Dianette as a alternative but put weight on easily on it so im not sure what to do. Did any of you end up putting weight on on Yasmin after the first six months? . I don't know what to do. Please could you let me know if you had constipation on Yasmin so i now if it is the Yasmin or not. My doctor knows but didn't seem too concerned.

I started Yasmin 2 weeks ago. I have the worst constipation. I feel so uncomfortable. This is very uncharacteristic for me. I was trying to determine what could be the contribuiting factor(s) to this unusual condition, when it occurred to me, the only thing I've done differently is started the Yasmin. That's why I'm on the internet searching for constipation as a possible side effect. It's comforting to know other users are experiencing the same. I'm coming to the conclusion, the constipaption must be due to the Yasmin. I'm tempted to stop it, however, it has cleared up my skin tremendously. I need to speak to my ob/gyn & dermatologists to see what they suggest. So uncomfortable, I sympathize with you.

My Daughter has been on Yazmine to help regulate her periods, for the past 6-7 months. This past month she has started feeling dizzy, weak, headaches, nausea, extreme fatigue which comes and goes thoughout the day. She was admitted to hospital for six day had many many test only to be told everything was normal the only thing they mentioned was that she was extremely constipated??? This has never been a problem for her ever.....
Reading this blog has been very enlightening for me and she has decided to go off these BCP to see if the symptoms dissipate.

I am in the middle of the 3rd week of my first pack of Yasmin. I too have noticed terrible bloating and constipation so much so that it looks like I'm 5 or 6 months pregnant! I eat fairly healthy (diet hasn't changed drastically in the past 3 weeks) and do moderate exercise so I just didn't understand why I looked and felt so bad. In addition, I feel completely irritable and grouchy. I know this is PMS week but before I started taking this pill (and mind you this is only my first pack) my boyfriend could NEVER tell when I was going to start...no pyscho/screaming/crying/bitchy mood swings were to be found. Now I'm avoiding him because I can tell that I'm in a pissy mood and normally I have a smile on my face! Then I realized that all this came about and weight gain to boot! from the time I started on Yasmin. I switched because it was cheaper than taking Femcon but I think I'll pay more for the Femcon to feel better about myself. I have never had side effects like this from a pill and I've been on BC for 6+ years. After I finish this pack I'm switching pack to Femcon. Thanks for your post...makes me feel a little less insane.
