I am a healthy 24 year old with no history of heart problems or depression/anxiety, however three days after I had the Mirena put in I started having heart palpitations, I have only had it in place for three weeks now and will definitely be having it removed asap, i thought i was going crazy until I read all the other responses Thanks to all who have added their experiences regarding Mirena!! I have also felt very nervous, anxious, and have had nausea. I will be telling everyone I know not to use this form of birth control!!! Oh and don't search for heart problems on mirena's site, they say its very rare, that doesn't seem the case.
