I am sorry to hear that you daughter is having the symptoms. As a HVP/Pre Cervical Cancer patient I have been fighting this battle for 7 years. I have always been careful when having sex to prevent STDs. I was raped 7 years ago and the doctors believe it was that incounter that is to blame. It stinks that you daughter is sick, but believe me, I would rather be ill for a few month then to have surgery ever few years to remove it and will be facing hysterectomy earlier in life then most women. I feared that I wouldn't have a chance to have children. I actually had my daughter 2 years ago, but probably won't have anymore if I have to the hysterectomy soon. I hope that every all girls get shot. It doesn't protect you from everything, and it doesn't protect you from all HPV, but it does protect from the grade that I am suffering with. It is very invasive. I hope that this helps.

Lets talk about gardasil.....Maybe you can help put together all of the symptons our girls are having. There are a lot of people doing research that may be able to answer some questions.
Sincerely karen
All I can say to your post is "amen". I am a pediatric icu nurse. My heart aches for these girls and their parents.
you're an idiot. watch your daughter go through 13 hours of surgery, lose her ability to have children and then watch her waste away to chemo and radiation and I bet you won't think some vaccine side effects are so bad.
we're not talking about a few minor side effects here. some of these girls have had their lives ruined. maybe they wouldn't have gotten cervical cancer until they were in their 60's or 70's. by then they would have married, had children, had careers, had lives, which many of them won't have now.
maybe they would never have gotten cervical cancer, in which case, all their suffering from the vaccine was for nought. i reminded of alll those young women who had their breasts removed "just in case" they were going to get breast cancer. thank god, that medical phase passed.
i predict that within 5 years gardasil will be yanked off the market. the body count will mount, the adverse reports will accrue and the FDA will finally have to face reality. Merck will be bombarded with class action lawsuits (remember VIOXX) and they'll have to come up with yet another not too well tested and really quite unnecessary drug to get out to market as soon as possible to keep their profit margin up.
a bunch of young women will never have the stamina to finish school, participate in sports, or have families. they will, however, be great drains on the already over taxed and over priced medical system. the pace makers they required in their teens, thanks to the damage the vaccine did to their hearts will have to be replaced every 10 years or so when the batteries wear out, keeping many pace maker departments in business.
listen, if you had a 95% chance of getting cervical cancer before you reached 50, it might be worth getting the vaccine and risking grave lifelong ailments or even death in your teenage years.
however, you aren't doomed to get cervical cancer and the vaccine is not all the effective anyway. imagine those poor women who had their breasts cut off only to get ovarian cancer. get you Pap smears and take your chances. no one ever died of a Pap smear and the AMA fought against them for years, fearing they would cut ito their business.
i have another prediction. Merck wants to start marketing the vaccine to boys. might as well conquer the entire market. the minute the first boy dies or even complains of arm soreness, it's be over for Gardasil
