Hi. I had my MIrena removed a few weeks ago, and only two days after having it pulled, I had very heavy bleeding and cramping for about a week. This was the first real period I had since having my baby in November. I think it is completely normal for the bleeding and cramping right after the removal. Your body is losing the hormones from the Mirena, so it has a period. I know I am much happier without it, as much as we hate using condoms. I am getting Essure in the next month so I don't have to worry about getting pregnant ever again. Good luck!
