Hey I see Im not the only one with problems that the doctors blam...

Try planned parenthood see if they will remove it.
I also went from ZERO sex drive to HIGH sex drive and back to ZERO.
Well may appointment is not until the end of April. I know the doctor will try to convince me so I am ready I will lie and say we are trying for a third child. It's my body I own it.

I can relate to you 100%. I am having hair loss, mood swings, weight gain, and cramps in my legs and pelvic area. I have seen a dermatoligist and a internal medicine doctor, they both said its not the iud. I am 32 years old and healthy! I just had my third baby and these doctors just all say the same thing... "give it some time you just had a baby your older now"!! I am so tired of getting out of the shower and clumps of hair just come out... i dont want to be bald!! I have a little bit of hair above my lip and these doctors say i am just stressed and just relax! I just think i am going to get rid of this iud and get my tubes tied. My ob/gyn said my hormones are just fine, but i cant be if i am having all these problems. I don't have a sex drive either.

Yeah I know how you feel..my hair was coming out so bad that I got to the point where I couldn't actually brush my hair I had to just run my hands through it and pull it up.I am telling you and who ever reads this to go get it taken out!! I tried 3 doctors and each told me 2-3 times to just give it time and that it wasn't the Mirena causing the problems! Which they get paid to push these types of things.I am goin to try and go to the local health dept or something cause I am to the point that if someone doesn't take it out I am going to get my husband to!! It's rediculous! My best friend had one and she had som many problems and almost had to have her female stuff removed.She has had it out almost a year and is not completely better but feels alot better.They have all just looked at me like I am crazy when I tell them my symptoms! These things are about the worst contraceptive that I have heard about but that was all they are pushing on people these days.My sister-in-law got hers in June this last year and has had really bad bleeding spells and is already feeling the fluttering and having migraines!! They tried to tell me that PCOS was what was causing all my problems but the Mirena side effects can explain alot.I know that not all women that have it have multiple cysts but I have 0! I have always been kind of hairy anyway but now I have thick long hair under my chin and neck and I even have a few that came up between the twins!! These doctors would not like it if they had that kind of embarassment!! I have to use hair removal cream like every week to get rid of it.I don't understand what kind of deal these doctors made with Mirena but my thing is they get paid either way so why try and talk us out of removing it?? Doesn't make sense! Well anyway I am going to try and find somewhere I can go to have it taken out or it's gonna get pulled out by my husband cause I can't do this anymore..

This is crazy!!! I got my Mirena 3/05 and thought it was fine, after I got past the first 6 months or so. But for about 6 months, I have gained almost 25 lbs, I have NO sex drive what so ever. Just the thought of it hurts. I am VERY moody and fatigued. I actually went to an after hours clinic about 2 months ago because my left side of my chest was fluttering so bad that I thought I was going to pass out. I haven't lost any hair, but major joint pain and headaches. I think that I am going to call my doctor tomorrow to have this thing removed. It just better not hurt like it did getting it put in.

Thanks for sharing your problems. Now I feel like there might be help. I just turned 30 and a daughter who is 5 and I feel like such a loser mom because I always want to sleep. I'm to young for that!!

Like sweetface4 mentioned I would try Planned Parenthood or I have to say I just got my bill for the removal of mine and it was only about $75. I know that can be a lot of money but if it's going to help you maybe you can budget for it. Good Luck.
