zoloft after i stopped nurvaring helped me alot. but you should see a doctor and talk it over.
Sounds like you are a freshmen in college and away from home for the first time. Congrats on being able to notice there is something wrong. Many of us just pretend we are having a down day. I experienced this type of situation when I went away to college for the first year. I recommend seeing your doctor and they can determine if anti-depressants are right for you. They really helped me.
First of all, I am the type of person that doesn't even like taking too much Advil let alone prescription drugs but...I would definitely recommend anti depressants if you are depressed. Don't wait until it gets really bad because it just makes it harder for you. I had the same thing happen to me when I got on the ring. I became depressed and kind of ignored it thinking it would go away. Then it kept getting worse. I would just lay in my bed and curl up and cry. With the help of my mom, I finally went to talk to a counselor. It was the best thing I have ever done!! She really helped me talk through things in my life, and I actually looked forward to my meetings with her. Also, If you talk to your gynecologist, and tell her that you are very depressed she should be able to prescribe you anti depressants. THat is what I did. I took a low-dose one called Buproprion. It takes time to kick in and did not make me feel weird or different in any way. It definitely got rid of my depression along with the counseling and I stayed on it for about a year. I have been off of it for over a year now and am just great. Some women have sever PMS in which they always get depressed around their period and so they take these anti-depressants to help with that.
