OMG!! This is insane, I thought I was going crazy, I started YAZ about 2 weeks ago, I usually try to maintain healthy and workout a lot, but in 2 weeks i gained like 10 lbs out of nowhere!!! I am freaking out! I completely lost sex drive and as well as other said completely dry, nothing can make me wet, I also notice that I started getting a really heavy discharge everyday, Oh and depression (mood swings, snap at everything I feel like I don't want to live anymore, I don't care for my job as I used to or school...I feel helpless) I stopped YAZ 2 days ago and so far i haven't notice any change...I am still very moody and SSSOOOO tired, I can sleep all day and all night with no problem and when I do try to get up is like a magnet that's keeping me in bed, its awful!!! When does it get better???? Anybody knows??? I am falling apart!!! HELP PLEASE!!!

Hey there...ok I completely understand what you're saying. I was on Yaz for 10 days only and after taking myself to the emergency room a week ago b/c I thought I was having a stroke or heart attack and feeling so tired that I can't even move, all I want to do is sleep, i'm anxious, so depressed and I totally just have no energy to live my usual life, and be my normal self. So it has been just about over a week since I stopped taking Yaz. I got my period within 4 days of stopping it, and it was pretty heavy, but my mood semmed to get a bit better. Now that my period is over I am starting to feel that same depressed, moodiness come back. So, I am going to assume that it is going to take a lot longer for our hormones and our bodies to get back to their normal function. Because I started Yaz right after my period on the Sunday and only took it for 10 days and then got my period I think that has totally screwed up my cycle and hormones and body. I only started to feel better after I stopped taking Yaz as soon as I got my period. So hopefully you will too. I talked to a few naturopathic doctors and nurses and they said that it will probably take about a month or more for your body to get back on track and into a normal groove and cycle. I, like you, was so snappy at everything and I was getting so so anxious to feel back to my regular self. It's really scary feeling like this, knowing how you normally are, and that somewhere inside you, you know you're there, butthe person that is in the forefront is just someone nasty and scary! What I have figured out that helped a little bit is a Calcium/Magesium/Zinc supplement, and also an Omega 3 supplement. I just want my life to go back to it's normalcy that it was before I even started this horrendous pill, and the only thing that I relized that I can do is, be patient, take each day as it comes, and just try and get through as best you can. Hormones are complicated and I now know to never attempt to fuck (excuse the swear) with them, as this is the price that I pay. Once you get your period after stopping the Yaz, things should start to get better, they did for me, and it will I think come in waves for the next month or so until things get regulated and back to a normal cycle. Maybe even talk to your doctor or a naturopathic doctor and try something to help your hormones, I am going to try acupuncture, it helped in the past. Vitamin B6 and B12 can't hurt either. Good luck!

This is exactly how I have been feeling!! I went to the doctor last week and had them to do a blood test...it came back today and suddenly I have hyperthyroidism!! I use to work out daily! Now I have to force myself to do 30 minutes of cardio twice a week! At my last physical they did blood work and I didn't have hyperthyroidism then! I had asked the doctor when I had the blood test done about possibly stopping the Yaz because I was fine before I started it...I'm STOPPING NOW!

Wow, really??? You guys must not have had serious pms. I know that I've been taking Yaz for a year and things have been Soooooo much better for me. I don't have mood swings, I haven't gained weight, I haven't been depressed or fatigued. That's so weird to me. Your bodies must just be having adverse reactions to Yaz. Sorry to hear!
