I just started it yesterday, 3 doses of Advair discus in combo with methylprednisolone to treat this "post viral asthma". Every time I take these meds, i experience tightness in my chest, difficulty breathing and a constant tickle in my throat leading me to cough a lot sometimes so much that i almost vomit. Cannot handle this anymore. Need advice. Thank you

I was taking methylpredisolone to take the inflammation from my foot. On the first day I had to take 6 tablets. Then on the second day I had to take 5 tablets. On the third day I had to take 4 tablet. One this day of taking the 4 tablet I got sever chest pain, sweating, shooting pains up into my jaw and in my chest down my left arm with dizziness. I felt like I was having a heart attack. I have a blood pressure kit at my home for my oldest son. Now my blood pressure run very low which is the norm for me. When I took my blood pressure it was high. I didn't go to the E.R. I went to the doctor the nest day. My doctor told me this medication raises the blood pressure and sugar levels.....I am a diabetic. I have been weaned off this medication. I am now off this medication for 3 days my blood pressure is still going up and back to normal. I just hope this medication gets out of my body soon.

I was disagnosed with whooping cough like 4 weeks ago, worst thing I have ever had, coughing fits so bad at night I could not inhale and felt like I was going to pass out, very scary. I am now convalecing, coughing some but not nearly as bad. A lung specialist (DO) put me on advair twice a day like 2 weeks ago, says I have asthma, but I did not have asthma before I got sick. I had been running 2 miles a day for several years, no asthma symptoms over that time. I don't think the advair is doing anything for me.
