I have been taking lisinopril for about 14 years and had no problems...until yesterday. I ended up in the emergency room because my face, and lips had severely swelled and had a rash all over me. My lips swelled so much that they started to bleed.. I was put on steroids and benadryl thru intervenience. I had to wait a few hours in the emergency room to make sure things were going well. They were afraid my tongue was going swell. I was told it was the Lisinopril..that you could take it for fifty years and bang! I was told by the E.R to stop taking it..thow it in the garbage and get a different medication
