I am 59 and switched to Simvastatin from Lipitor. Much lower in price. My cholesterol is 200 and the doctor was very pleased with the number. So far no side effects but it has been only 5 days. The dose is 20mgs. Now after reading all the BAD side effects I am very scared! Is there any positive statements about Simvastatin? S.

The company that manufactures Simvastatin will make a profit from your purchase. That’s the only positive statement I can think of.

It is all true what people are saying and it is a killer.
But there is hope so do not dispair. I have gone to a natural Cholesterol Support and it is working 100% it is a New Zealand product and you may have a similar one where you are just go to your natural health shop and inquire. this one is called Cholesterol support and it is A lethicen one and it is working so well that my cholesterol is staying right down. Also you need to get on to Unadulterated Celtic salt. It is the salt you can use when on no salt you low salt diet. It is good for the body and stops all the cholesterol problems as well and lowers BP.
all the best with this and do go natural you will feel so much better and be so much better.

If you don't have any bad side effects with simvastatin, it can help lower your cholesterol. The majority of patients experience no adverse effects as a result of this drug. However, if you are one of the unlucky people who do, it is a killer. Be very aware of what is happening with your body and if you notice any of the symptoms that you can read about here on this page, stop taking the drug IMMEDIATELY. That is the important thing to realize - the symptoms do progress rapidly and are very bad. The longer you take simvastatin after the onset of symtoms, the longer your body will require to heal after the drug is discontinued.

Fantze, . . . . . All statins are dangerous drugs and can cause MANY side effects. I suggest that you stop taking it. The drs. and the drug co's are doing a SCAM on anti-cholesterol drugs. . .it is all about big $$. In reality, your mind/body needs cholesterol to function properly. Don't let your dr. to con you.
