Shaggy, It sounds to me as though maybe you're having some hypomania. Since you're also on Lamictal, I assume you're bipolar? With bipolar, the cycling up part can cause hypersexuality. And Wellbutrin is an anti-depressant that doesn't affect your sex drive. So it could be that...I'm totally going by personal experience here! :)

i am onlamictal also for over a year now and also lithium and adderall,xanax,calcium,and percocets..was on also valium..i dont have those thoughts ,but i bleiev that i have been on it for a year now andit did help but now it is not..i am going to get off all these pills ,as i still have suicidal thoughts.andthey effect your liver and along with otherthings..i believ thatthedrs should be a little more reluctant as to giving out pills...

since wellbutrin is activating rather than sedating, it can indeed increase sex drive and sexual thoughts. you are not the only one...i too became obsessed with sex while on the med - but i wasn't depressed, so i just kind of went with it as a trade off.

this seems very ood to me what you say because i have been diagnosed
with boarderline personality disorder i have tried many meds including one you mentioned and i have never had those side effects. In most cases anti deppresents make you impotent. If I were you i would talk to my doc. right away and be very honest with your side affects so other people can be warned who might be or will be on the same meds.

I talked to my doctor and am lowering the Lamactil 25 mg a week till I get to 200mg i was on 300mg. Afterwards the thoughts have gone down immensely but I still have them just not as frequent. Thanks for all your advice and comments and I will continue to post to let you know how I progress
