I took Yasmin in the past and loved it. No side effects, no weight gain. This was the only birth control that I did NOT gain weight on (every single other one made me gain weight). Unfortunately, I have since changed insurance and my policy does not cover Yasmin or yaz. I have been on aviane for about 4 months and have gained at least 10 lbs. I hate it. I am actually going to stop taking the aviane and just pay the $50/month out-of-pocked for the Yasmin because I liked it so much.
