i have had every single side effect that you mentioned, and i mean every single one.. 2 months ago i went to hospital because the entire left side of my body went numb, it also felt like there was shock going through my brain every time i moved my eyes.. i had to have a ct scan and it turned out that everything was fine, i told them that i had a mirena and not one of the 3 dr's i that i saw said that it could be the culprit... i had it removed on friday, i am still not back to myself but i am sure it will take some time asi had it for over 3 years... i never even thought that the iud could be to blame for all my problems, not oncce did it cross my mind, i just thought that i was crazy... my whole life i have had anxiety but since i got the iud it has gotten so much worse, it is so bad that i had to stop working, i hate leaving my house now, going out with my girlfriends something i enjoyed so much is now something i can't stand doing...
anyway thank you for posting your story, it is important to women to know that they are not crazy...
just one question after you had the mirena removed did you have bleeding?
Wow, you did have it bad....
i had mine taken out nearly two months ago.. it took me four weeks to the day for me to have a period, it then lasted a week, it was heavy but manageable.... luckily i didnt have the huge clots that others have mentioned... i think i am due on again, the dizziness has returned with a vengence, i feel like i did when i had mirena in!!!
I am so grateful for your posting. You have probably changed my life. I am a single mother of three small children under the age of six and I have not been the best mother I could be since they put this device in. Every sympton you described is what I am feeling. I have had palpitations for the last week, and high levels of anxiety that made me want to crawl out of my skin. My best friend of 18 years (a male) has even noticed the change in me. He has heard me at one point or another complain of backaches, depression, joint pain, headaches, moodiness, tingling in hands and feet. He even says that I have not been the same person in the last 5 months. I had it put in 8 months ago. I am so relieved that there is a chance to get my life back. I have been so scared that there was something so wrong with me. Because of you, I am not going to take the long road around this. I am not going to let a doctor call me crazy. I have always been a full a life person even through my divorce and I have become a person who wants to just quit. Thank you.
hello please let me know how you have been feeling since you had the mierna removed!!! i have the same effects and also the toe thing!!!! i still have mine in after a 1 year and i'm calling dr today after reading all about this.
This is the perfect explanation to the symptoms I've had. I have had every single one of these. I've also been hospitalized for them, and my doctor thought I was going crazy! Thank you, for making me feel like I am not a hypocondriac, and other people are going through the same thing!
