you probably don't have asthma. in the book Worst Pills/ Best Pills, they suggest stopping lisinopril for 4 days to see if it's caused the cough before you go looking for other reasons and taking other meds for imaginary asthma
i understand what you are going through like many of us here, i too am taking lisinoprol with hctz, and i hear the cough and throat problems has to do with hives the med causes. I used to have alot of energy, but now after taking this med for 6 months, i feel my energy level going down and when i do too much, i feel my throat throbbing, like its closing up. I tried stopping the drug for a day but got scared because with the drug my bp has been good about 115,78, but i took my bp the day i stopped the med and it was 151/98 so i got scared and went back on it, im too afraid to stop taking it for 4 days.
I dont have the cough as much , but definitely my throat tickles especially a deep breath and i have pressure in that soft spot between the neck and colarbone.
I see my doctor in june, i would be you DO NOT have ashtma, and its just drug related here.
