Has anyone out there who has been on lisinopril gotten very sore tender breasts? I recently increased the dose from 10mg. to 15 mg. because my BP was getting higher and it seems like I've had this stinging aching sensation in my breasts since then? I've also had a tickling cough since I've been on it--worse at night.

It's odd that you mentinoned the sore breast thing that I never associated witht the Lisinopril, however I've been taking it now for about 2mos and have noticed the same thing with my breast. I also have a cough sometimes I can't stop coughing and end up gagging. I told my M.D. and he said he didn't think it was the Lisinopril causing a cough like that. I've read several comments from others on Lisinopril and see that they too have more than just the "tickle" kind of cough. This is great drug for lowering blood pressure, but I am beginning to think that the side effects are too aggravating to deal with.

I took lisinopril for 4 months and developed such a gagging cough and thick phlem in my throat at night that I could not even swallow. I also noticed a breast tenderness developing. I flushed the pills down the toilet a week ago and have now been able to sleep for at least 6 uninterrupted hours at night. The breast tenderness has also subsided. I will take my chances with the hypertension.... Quality of life is better than feeling sick on drugs 24/7. Good Luck

I have pain/tenderness in one breast, burning in upper arms, shortness of breath when walking uphill, heart palpitations, tiredness, depression and memory loss. I'm a person who was always too warm when others were cold, but now I'm cold all the time.

I've been taking Lisinopril 10mg for a few months, because my BP was moderately high and getting higher because I'm about 30 lbs overweight. Now, however, I've noticed that my heart rate is always over 80 where it used to be no higher than 72 no matter how much I weighed.

I'm drinking two tsps of apple cider vinegar and two tsps of raw honey in a glass of water, three times a day and the BP has come down. Tonight, unfortunately, I just took my Lisinopril, but it's the last one I'll take. I'll monitor my BP and take herbs and supplements for my heart and BP.

I'm so glad I found this board.

I also developed extreamly tender breast after taking meds only a few days (along with weakness, nausia, profuse sweating and burning up). and other symptoms. So I stoped the meds and 3 days later got my period which had been gone for 3 years (54 year old)... I also will be going the natural route and am glad I found this board too....
