I have been taking Levoxyl for approx. 5 years following having a total ablation of my thyroid due to follicular thyroid cancer. I am constantly tired, have joint pain, trouble sleeping and continue to experience weight gain. The doctor continues to tell me this is not from the medicine and to improve my diet. My vision has also gotten terrible over the past two years. Has anyone else experienced this and do you know of anything that helps?

You did not say whether your doctor was monitoring your thyroid hormone levels. Your doctor should be checking your T-4 and TSH levels to insure they are where they should be. It sounds like you may still be hypothyroid. Those symptoms were the similar to the ones I had before being placed on Levoxyl. I don't understand your doctor's response to you, if he is not monitoring your thyroid hormone levels. If he is not, and continues to ignore your symptoms, then you may need to find another doctor.
