I am a 57 year old female and have been on Flomax for 3 years. I have tried twice to stop but my urinary hesitancy was worse. Has anyone had this experience? Does anyone know how to wean off this medication? Doctors don't seem to have the answer.

I am also a 58 year old female who has been on Flomax for 7 weeks now. I have also tried to stop taking this med because of continuous insomnia and extreme fatigue. The drug certainly helps with urinating but I can't take the side effects. I was wondering if you need to wean off slowly (like every other day or every two days) instead of just stopping it cold. My body
seems dependent on it. When I stopped, I had terrible urinary hesitancy. Has anyone tried a slow weaning process?
