Have you read the leaflet at all? Some people can have an allergic reaction to the pill. It almost sounds like that is what you are having. You should stop taking the pill and talk to your doctor.
FYI-In the leaflet provided by my pharmacy, it indicates rash, itching/swelling (especially of the face/tongue/throat), severe dizziness, trouble breathing as symptoms of a serious allergic reaction.
I've perused the leaflet multiple times. It talks about symptoms very lightly and only mentions "various skin problems" as one of the rare symptoms. No doctor was able to identify the cause of my problem and only prescribed creams and injection to control the rash. I had to find out for myself by researching.
I feel sorry for women who do not know why they're suddenly sick and the doctors can't help them because they are not aware of the apparently common side effects of Yasmin and Yaz. They just have to suffer through steroid and cortizone treatments, which do not treat the root of the problem. Both Yasmin and Yaz should be banned because they are not good drugs. I'm normally very healthy and do not get allergic reactions to any drug. I guess I can now put Yasmin as the first drug I'm allergic to on my doctor's office questionaire.
I'm sorry you had a bad reaction to it but I hope it doesn't get pulled. This is the first birth control that has actually worked for me and I've tried several. I also know a few woman that have been using Yasmin for years and absolutely love it. Every birth control is different for everyone and you can't just make a judgement on them because of what you read online. People are going to come online more often to complain than to compliment.
