hello my name is tina and i am in your same position..but during the time i was on nuva ring, everything was good. except later on, we would have to take the nuva ring out just to have relations. later on, my sex drive went down and now, i have a lesion on my cervix..so um, yeah, i actually want some answers. the nuva ring also caused me to have vaginal infections back to back. but i have to get a colpscopy done so, i don't know where my future lies..I don't know if its cancer or hpv..i have no clue. keep in touch. jacksonfamily09@hotmail.com
Thanks for posting Tina, I'm convinved my problems are all nuva-ring related. I didn't start having symptoms until almost 1.5 years of being on it - and they got worse when I discontinued use. Things are getting a bit better now - but it's almost a year since I took out the ring and have since started Yasmin (the pill). My abnormal bleeding is gradually getting better and I just went for my second pap in 3 months.... the first one in march came back 'inconclusive' and this last one came back normal. When the doctor was examining me, she said that my cervix did look a bit red and was "friable", she said this can sometimes result from long-term use of birth control. Keep in touch and best of luck!! :) Stay positive! :)
