markodelosreyes: Keep your chin up. I know just how you feel.
I was put on Coumadin when I was 18 years old and was told that I was among the youngest ever to be sentenced with a life of taking this drug. This is due to a genetic blood deficiency. I am now 31 and feel like this drug is simply not meant to be taken long term. Like you and many others who have posted here, I have reported many problems to doctors over the years and they have treated me like I am nuts. Upon taking Coumadin, my long battle with Migraines began. Only I saw the correlation, my doctors refuse to see it. I feel like I am suffering from muscular or nerve damage (forgive me, I am not a doctor so I can only describe how it feels) as there are times when my limbs tremble uncontollably. I have also experienced the dizziness and fatigue that others have experienced for many years. I have been persisitent in reporting everything to my doctors, but the solutions I receive are not solutions. They are only placating me until our visit is up. There are days when I get very depressed, and feel old much before my years. I really try and keep a positive attitude and see everyday as a blessing; some days are better than others, though.
Take good care of yourself - no one else can do that for you!
Thank you so much vanessa for your thoughts! and sharing what you go through, now I feel as if other's can voice, knowing im not alone on this, I can only meet people and share my thoughts online with other's who has gone through this, because I don't think my friends can understand being the only one that has this sickness. It's a drag, but yea I will keep it up and hopefully live as normal as possible again
