Gosh , you sound like me!! I have always had back pain lower. but it has been worse. I also started seeing effects after 7 months and they have gotton worse. Read my post and you will see that I have same as you.
My Dr also said I have pinch nerve. I don't like taking prescriptions and i'm getting upset with how I feel all the time!!!! I have a tilted uterus and 'm wondering if my back, hip and thigh is in pain because of that with the mirena.
I had Mirena since May 2008. The first 8 months were perfect, no side effects, in January 2009 though, my groins started to hurt (especially on the right side), I had a lower back pain, arm pain..... I went to the doctor, my blood test was ok, urine also, ultrasound revealed an ovarian cyst 3x3 cm on my right ovary, so I was sent home because that should have been an explanation to all my problems. I got depressed, I had a mood swing and the worst pms you can immagine. As my pain didn't go away (and it moved from one place to another, in March I had a pain in the whole chest to the extent that I thought I was having a heart attack. (I am, at least till now I have always been, absolutly healthy 33 year old with 2 kids). - I went to another doctor, she said my heart was ok and that it must have been some stress related joints inflammation...,). I started to be afraid of some serious health problem, my fear got so bad as the pain in my heart didn't go away. Two weeks ago I felt so bad, I had a chest pain, tingling in my hands, so I went to the pharmacy and bought a blood pressure monitor.. - I didn't want to go to the doctor again, because I started to think that I was becomming crazy and that all those things happened just in my head...My BP was 200 over 100 (my normal BP is 110 over 70...) - I called the doctor he said to wait a while, it went down within a day...(even though it still is a little bit elevated....). And it was only at that point that I connected all those things that were happening with my body and my soul and started to think about Mirena.... And I googled Mirena side effects and discovered all those stories of other women and similarities with my symptoms and feelings...I got it removed 2 days ago (since January till now my cyst grew to 4x4 cm and there is another one on my left ovary. As I have never had any problems before Mirena, I think and my ob too, that Mirena caused them)... I feel better (at least in my head) and hope that my body will also recover soon. I believ that Mirena can and for sure works good for many of women, but I am just happy i got rid of it before it could have cause something much more serious...
I totally had back pain and tingling hands/shoulder while on the Mirena. Those were the least of my problems -the list is too long to go into. As soon as the Mirena was gone all symptoms were as well except for the hair loss which has turned into a year long battle. Anyway - I would say those symptoms you are having are from the Mirena. Get it removed ASAP and good luck! :)
