I was on Yasmin from the day it hit the market a million years ago and absolutely love it. Absolutely no side effects (other than my skin looked amazing and I could eat whatever I wanted without gaining weight!). I loathe Ocella, the generic version. I was on it for four months and am now trying Yaz (which, for the time being, does not have a generic so my insurance will cover it). If Yaz doesn't give me the same results as Yasmin, I'm going to just pay the penalty and get the brand name Yasmin...I love it that much! For everyone complaining after 2 days or 2 weeks on the pill (any pill), you need to remember that any transition is going to mess with your chemical balance. We're talking about something that chemically moderates your natural chemical composition. You really need 3 months to fully adjust.

I too HATED Ocella! It made me SO sick, turns out it induced a lovely little side effect: Lactos intolerance. Oh how fun that was (ugh). So I went from Yasmin, which I too loved, I had no side effects that were too bad (the headaches I could deal with and I'm not sure it was even from the pill anywho). So I went from Yasmin to Yaz. I was a lunatic on Yaz. I don't see what the thrill about it is except the little pocket thing for the pills is a nice color :) Then from Yaz to the NuvaRing which I used for almost 3 weeks. I would NEVER recommend that to anyone! It made me sooo depressed.. so then I decided to fork out the money for the brand name Yasmin again so I could regain a sense of sanity. Well, I forgot to mention that the reason I ended up with Ocella in the first place was because the pharmacy lady said that I can no longer used "Yasmin" because my insurance won't pay for it... well guess what, when I went back on the brand name, yeah my insurance still pays for it. So, a solid 5 months of insanity for no reason. To top it all off when I went back on Yasmin it was more like Ocella, minus the lactos intolerance. I no longer love it, my guess is because I screwed my body up by changing pills so much. I just took my last Yasmin pill the other night and now I'm done. I would rather abstain from sex than feel like sh*t all the time.
