Hi,
I also have just developed cataracts from prednisone. I was on 80 mg. and it took 2 months to wean me off the drug. I also have avascular necrosis in my hips, which is also caused from the steroids. It causes edema in your bone marrow and the bone dies. This drug has serious side effects, but it also saves my life when my lungs are inflamed. Remember, we can take a simple aspirin and get the side effect of bleeding ulcers. Every drug has side effects.
