Hi all! Well I got my mirena taken out on Wednesday. The Dr. was very sweet I told her my symptoms and she said lets take this out then! While she was down there she said " Hmm I'm going to look at a swab under the scope." She came back in and said that the mirena gave me a bad infection! I had to take some strong one time antibiotic that killed my stomach! I can't wait to start to feel better. I did notice I can see a lot better then I did, no more blurry eyes. The last 3 1/2 years have been utter hell for me. I've been in and out of different Dr. offices not finding anything. I was dizzy all the time, I started out small after I delivered my baby and gained 60 lbs since it was put in. I had a shooting pain on my right side, horrible anxiety attacks, blurred vision, fuzzy mind, head aches, ovarian cysts, lower back pain and bloated belly. I am so relieved I got this disgusting thing out of my body!!! I hope my life will go back to normal now.

I got my Mirena taken out on friday 4/24/09, i agree i feel like i can get my life back now. I also gained a lot of weight after having my son, try 80 pounds. I am now on Quasense, hopefully this will be better for me, because my husband and I are not wanting to have any more children at this present time.

Hey there,
I'm so happy your Dr was nice to you and you had it removed. Thank you for your post. I still have mine and have had bad experiences since mine also. Here lately I've been dizzy also all the time and tired and hip and leg muscle swollen. I also have been back and forth to Dr's trying to find solutions for my problems. I'm only told fluid in ears and pinch nerve!!! lol
Whatever!!! I have also noticed that my eyes are very light sensitive, and my contacts seem to be blurry and I see spots often.
I'm getting my removed as soon as my husband agrees to him getting fixed.ha,ha
thanks for your post!!! I wish you well and know that you will start feeling better and yourself soon!!!!

Thanks for the replies. Princess I know I would have been at the 80 lb. gain mark in no time if I would've kept it in. I've lost 6 lbs. in the last 5 days no dieting. Yes Lisa I did have horrible tingling in my right arm and fingers stopped since its been out. I was every day! Isabelle I had bad hip pain as well similer to sciatica. I went in for that as well. This has been in and out of the dr. offices trying to figure figure out whats wrong with me. I was convinced my children where going to have to grow up without there mom because of coarse I was dying. Turns out NOT!!! I am mad!!! Im really mad at the dr. who I was in his office waiting to find out whats wrong he takes out this paper and hands it to me and tells me to call one of the shrinks on it!! Im going to copy this site down and bring it to him!!!! Quack!!!
