I hate to be the one to tell you this but from my extensive experience with this drug I would go down to 7.5 for two weeks, 5 for two weeks, the 2.5 for 3 weeks. the pain doesn't just go away. I know I weaned to fast several times like you are and paid a very big price. It's a very low dose and only a few more weeks but makes a huge difference in the pain dept!
Good luck
My daughter is also having super bad leg pain and she even when to the doctor today because of it. Guess what? they said it was the Prednisone! She had been on 60mg/day since March 3rd when she found out she had Nephrotic Syndrome. She is finally doing 40mg everyother day for 11 days. She was in tears for 2 days and I felt so helpless. I'm glad she's not the only one having this kinda side effects. Hang in there and hope the pain gets better for you.
had the same thing! i have been off for 4 days now and do have withdrawal symptoms. They started on the 2nd day off. Have nausea and not hungry, extreme bloating, shaking, joint pain, dizzy, and cripling fatigue (feels like mono) thats probably the worste symptom however, all those withdrawal symptoms dont compare to the side affects while on them. I went from 50 mg two days to 40, 30,20,10 every two days.
the same thing is happening to me. I could not understand all that was going on. I have horrible leg cramps, sweating, ringing in my ears, my face and stomach are huge. I hate it and have 5 days left of weaning off this horrible drug. I wish I would have known something about this drug before I started taking it. My Dr. told me absolutly nothing about it. Only that it was an anti-inflammatory. This website helped so much I thought I was going crazy!!!
