I started taking NuvaRing about two years ago. I really liked it because I didn't have to worry about a daily pill or anything. However, a few weeks into using NR I started getting these sharp headaches in the back of my head. They were so bad that I couldn't hardly get out of bed and I could not put enough pressure on them to go away. These headaches left me to the point that I could not function at all. Also, these headaches would occur the week I would put the NR in. A few months into it I also started to notice that my period started getting really light...and not to gross anyone out but the color started changing to dark brownish instead of like a normal period. All this really started scaring me, so I just quit using it. I mean it helped me with my acne but I think that was it because I gained 5-10 pounds from it as well. But overall, it was a horrible experience.
