I "felt pregnant" every month for about a year. The first two months I took a test, but after that, my husband told me not to bother...that I would have to be late for at least a week and then we could test. I'm off it now, and am getting better every cycle. If you feel this way, Yasmin may not be for you. I just quit B.C. altogether and use condoms, but if that's not an option for you, talk to your doctor. I mean, I was craving pickles and ice cream for a week at a time for two months...crazy!
I felt the same way after 3 months on Yaz (been on different pills for 14 years, changed to Yaz for PMDD). I decided to stop Yaz because of other side effects as well. And this is my first month off. I was sure I was pregnant, I had everything you exerienced. The cravings were ridiculous. I work out 4-5 days a week and still put on 10 pounds. I hope with each cycle I get better. I hate how I am feeling and if I knew this I would have never been on a pill in the first place.
I got this from a description of Yasmin off of Canadageneric.com with the possible symptoms and side affects.
Description:
Yasmin works by stopping a woman's egg from fully developing each month. The egg can no longer accept a sperm and fertilization is prevented. Although oral contraceptives have other effects that help prevent a pregnancy from occurring, this is the main action.
Cautions:
SIDE EFFECTS that may occur while taking this medication includes abdominal cramping or bloating, acne, breast pain, tenderness or swelling, dizziness, nausea, swelling of the ankles and feet, unusual tiredness or weakness and vomiting.
