Hello Again. I'd like to correct my earlier statement regarding the migraine. The terminology is "migraine with aura" (it still hurt like a son of a b*^$& no matter what you call it). I'd also like to update you all with an interesting finding from my Dr. app the other day...it appears that I have "hyperthyroidism" which can, in fact, cause many of the symptoms that I've been experiencing. It may be a good idea, for those of you who haven't already done so, to have a complete blood workup, including thyroid tests, to rule out possible root causes for many of these symptoms. I need to undergo further testing (which is just how a Mom wants to spend her precious "free-time" eh?) but I'm still keeping Mirena high on my list of culprits! Best of luck!

I too have a thyroid problem (underactive) and have only developed this since having the mirena inserted.. I no longer have the mirena, i put up with it for 3.5 yrs and went through everthing imaginable it is bliss since having it removed,,, for the first time in so long i actually feel normal.. PEOPLE ACTUALLY HAVE'NT A CLUE THE PROBLEMS THIS MIRENA IS CAUSING BUT IT WILL ALL COME OUT IN A FEW YEARS..

I had that same kind of migrane last month!!! scared the crap out of me!! I was seeing blinking things on the corner of my eye!!! Now that i know you had that and someone else on here, it has to be the mirena. I didn have blood work done and everyting came back well.

At my own initiative, trying to self-diagnose, I had a blood workup a year ago (checking for thyroid problems, menopause, etc.) and it was normal. My doctor blamed my hair loss on stress. Wish I had pushed harder then; I'd have more hair left.....13 days to get rid of the @!"£$%^&!! thing.....
