I had Mirena inserted in May 04 and have been miserable ever since! I had my 2nd child and did not want any more, I was scared to get my tubes tied because I had a newborn & a 4 year old [+ a husband] to take care of. Since I had Mirena, I have had severe back pain, weight that won't budge no matter what, severe constipation, swollen legs & feet, panic and anxiety attacks, moodiness, hot flashes, miscarriages, severe stomach cramps, depression, bloated stomach, almost constant nausea, headaches, you name it I have it. My husband got a vasectomy 4 weeks ago and I can't wait until I can get this horrible evil thing out of me. I didn't think it was the IUD until recently. My doctor played it up like it was a miracle contraceptive-even told me it was better than tubal ligation and vasectomy. ha! c.
