I've been off of of this horrible stuff for 37 weeks now and am sad to report that I actually do still experience most of what you write of. Some days are better than others--thank goodness--but this does seem to have quite a lingering effect on one's body.
Just last week I complained/cried to my physician that I want my normal self and life back NOW....he just looked at me blankly!
Wishing you all the best for a speedy return to to normalcy!
Make sure you read lipitor on this site it's the same family of poisons. spacedoc dot net has good information. Are you supplementing with COQ10 and fish oil. Best.
i have the same thing i took simvastatin for one year tired, buzzing in my ears, knees killing me,throbbing heart.i stoped about a week ago and no change
I've been on this drug for over two years, prescribed by th VA. I'm 63 and have high BP and Cholesterol. I also take lipitor. For the past two years my joinbts and muscles have ben steadily getting worse. At first I thought it was just arthristis, getting wrose with each month, but the accelaration is incredible. After reading these posts (and other sites) I'm notr so sure. I want to do the right thing, but I'm thinking I need to get off simavistatin. My feet, ankles, elbows, knees, neck and shoulders are all capabale of explosing on me in incredible pain. This has come on in jsut a few months? I don't think so. Even my eyes itch uncrontrollably, and I'm beginning to think that's part of this drug side effcts as well.
Sorry about the typos. And that should be Lisinopril, not lipitor.
