I have been on loestrin 24 for over 3 years now and haven’t had a period since I started taking it. No period at all, my doctor said this is normal. About a month ago my husband and I decided we should have kids soon since we are close to 30, so I stopped my BC. However, I still haven’t had a period I thought for sure I would see something in a month. I’m not pregnant; if I were, I wouldn’t be posting this message. Does anyone know how long it takes to get this out of my system. I read though all the post and I see a lot of women have the same issues as I do after being on this pill for so long, migraines, slow hair growth or hair loss, gum issues. All these side effects just started about a year ago and I didn’t relate it to the pill until I read the postings because they didn’t start right away. Any how if you experienced the same problem, not having a period and know when I could expect to see one it would be nice to know a month to me seems like an eternity.

I've been on it for 6 years and during one of those years I also stopped getting a period completely. It somehow came back on its own after a year but now it's only a day and a half to 2 days long max. I'm scared of not being able to get pregnant once I stop this...have you had any luck?

I also have experienced extreme hair loss and lethargy. I gained about 10 lbs which has been impossible to take off, no matter what I try and my doctor said it's weight that will come back off. Well, over 6 months later, it hasn't and I'm still losing my hair. Figuring this out took a while because this is the first time I've seen that a pill can cause such extreme hair loss (written right in their literature) and I attributed my lethargy and depression to a serious loss I suffered a year ago. I also have barely any sex drive. I have an appointment with my doctor next week and am changing pills completely.
