Had mine removed on Wed. Had headache Thurs pm,yesterday and today. I NEVER get headaches. It was bearable with Advil. I already feel less bloated and generally feeling good. I am astonished after reading this site yesterday and today. I chalked all my aches, wt gain, low libido etc to menopause. Had device x 3yrs. Happy to feel better, bit angry that I didn't inform myself of poss side effects prior to this time. There is a group on Facebook. Need to know a bit more about Mirena crash.

Hi! Your not alone. Please read my post in April lisa0819. I am 4 days post mirena and am still having tests done. Bllod work, vit D test, etc. Back pain, aches and tingling in hands and feet. Sound Familiar?

I thought it was a condition like lupus or arthritus too.Saw 5 different doctors and then got really depressed because they could not find anything at all and I still felt terrible. Blood work about 7 or 8 times. 2 m.r.i.'s several x-rays. Countless trips to doctors offices and still could not walk down my stairs in the morning. Prednizone and vicodin were the only thing that took the edge off.It started a week after insertion with one wrist and within about 6 weeks, every single joint in my boby felt terrible and very stiff.All my muscles hurt too and I was tired and depressed and thought I weas going CRAZY! Slowly healing after the 4 months I had this evil thing in my body. I did not research this enough before I got it, we just had our 3rd baby in 3 years and there was no way I was having another one.Now I would rather have 3 more than have mirena again. I could not care for my children or even myself, i actually had to have family come stay with us at our house. My husband thought I was giong to die of cancer or something"he tells me that now that I am feeling better". I also forgot to mension the lump on the top of my hand, that has completley gone away, thank god! Mirena is awful!!!!!!!!!!!!!
