I am 52 year old female and for years I took lipitor and everything was fine. After a change in my insurance, I started taking a generic Provocal. After I had blood work done, my doctor says my cholesterol is back up in the 300's, so put me back on Lipitor. Since the generic Provocal wasn't working, I stopped taking it and didn't get the Lipitor filled for another week. So for one week, I didn't take anything. I FELT TERRIBLE! My eyes were swollen and I didn't want to get out of bed and go to work. I have thyroid problems and diabetes and I thought that was making me feel bad. Then I realized I stopped taking the cholestrol medicine cold turkey. Once I took my cholesterol medicine again, I felt fine. Has anyone had this experience?
I stopped taking this dangerous drug " cold turkey" . . . . it is normal for your cholesterol to get high when you stop taking the POISON . . .. . .your mind/body needs cholesterol to function properly. Don't let your dr. to con you. The anti-cholesterol drugs are a huge SCAM $$$ business. The reason why you have the side effects, is because Lipitor is working and your cholesterol is getting too LOW.
