My daughter was started on singulair at about the age of 3 (now 7) because her asthma was not being controlled ny inhalers and she also suffers from a lot of allergies. Her asthma has improved tremendously but i noticed that she became very short tempered and still can be (but i put this down to her age), also these last six months i have noticed three episodes of diarrhea (just for one day and nobody else has had this in the family). Just recently, and even more concerning she is starting to bruise very easy, all over the legs, so i called NHS Direct and was informed that Singulair can thin the blood making you bruise more easy. For me this is the last straw and have decided that my daughter has to come off these straight away and i am making an appointment for the GP first thing in the morning.
