Ive had the Mirena for almost 2 and a half months now. Insertion was horrible and hurt very bad. I cramped for the rest of the day. It was inserted about 3 days after I started my period and I haven't stopped bleeding since. The lower half of my stomach below my belly button is bloated so it looks like im about 4 or 5 months pregnant and Ive broken out all over my face, back, chest, and neck. Nothing will make it go away. I was having severe cramping when my normal period time came around and it radiated from my lower back down my leg into my knee. Ive got an appointment next week to have it removed. However, my best friend had it put in the same time as me and she has had absolutely no side effects at all.
