I think most of this is all in your heads. It does state clearly in the booklet though that you will have less of a sex drive. But being depressed and all is all own thing. Maybe if you start thinking that its making you happy you will feel happy....

Hi kccatlover1,

You're 15; maybe when you have a little more life experience, you'll realize that depression and anxiety are not just in someone's head. Synthetic hormones affect every single system in your body and can disrupt delicate hormonal, chemical, and nutritional balances. It's not someone's imagination - it's science.

However, I'm glad that you are feeling well, and I really hope that you continue to feel that way.

she does have a point though, people out there read the side effects and then panic because they are worried they will experience the same. I will have to say that BC does mess with your emotions because of the horomones. Though these days people look for side effects and then sue if they get them, I for one never looked at the side effects, if my doctor believes its safe I take it, and NEVER had a side effect before, dont mess with your mind and be a worrier about every side effect, the major ones are RARE and HAVE TO be known for patients sake.

I agree with enelya5115. First of all, hormones are not a joke. They can really mess with someone. I've been on Yaz for about over a year and I have not been myself for the past (coincidentally) year. People don't just all of a sudden act like totally crazy and irrational for no reason in such a short period of time. All of us women here are reporting the same thing and that shows you clearly, there is something wrong with this pill. Obviously Yaz is going to advertise that this could cause a "slight" side effect, and maybe it does only "slighty" affect someone... but we all have different hormonal imbalances in our bodies that might not take this pill as well as you do. Also, I was fine with my first time taking it but eventually when you take it for awhile it seems like the moodiness, depressions, and anxiety starts kicking in stronger and stronger...

I agree. I am on the YAZ and i have never had such an overwhleming sex drive. I mean it is awesome. I think we all need to keep in mind that each person's body is not the same. So if you reading these postings to make a decision, you should not. Try it yourself, it may work fine for you. Also please note that YAZ and Yasmine are two different pills.
