I had mirena inserted back in March of this year, and I hate it. The insertion wasn't too bad, just some mild pitching. For a few days after I had spotting and severe cramping. Since insertion I've had constant discharge and my doctor sent me for an ultrasound. It was placed correctly, no cysts, but still cramping and discharge. I have had no desire for sex, which I think is mainly due to constantly having shit come out of me. I have had more headaches, back aches and hate the whole experience altogether. I am appreciative of this site and all the other posts, because I was really starting to think it was just me. Then after I had a second ultrasound, the tech asked me if my labor and deliveries of my two boys were quick. First one was 5 and 1/2 hours the second only 51 minutes. She says in her opinion, it sounds like my uterus is just rejecting having something foreign in me. So tomorrow I am going to my gyno and having this damn horrible thing removed.
