I am researching Fosamax. Have been on it over 3 years. In last year have experienced a lot of hair loss, especially at back of head as well as brittle hair causing hair breakage. I also have a sore throat and unusual cough with mild flue like symptoms and nasal drip - approx. one year. During the three years my teeth have needed constant work, needing root canals and extractions (extractions should be a last resort). I have had two dental abscesses, the last one I have had for over a year as I had trouble getting it diagnosed. Your post has convinced me Fosamax is the cause of these issues. Thank you. I am now stopping Fosamax also. I saw a web article that said it may take up to five years after stopping Fosamax for it to no longer affect the body - don't know how true this is but it was a medical site. Thank you for your posting.
