Maybe read the interesting book written by Stephen Fried - Bitter Pills. It`s about this group of antibiotics - quinolones (hope it`s the right spelling) and also about his wife who suffered long lasting side side effects.
Most medications in this group of antibiotics have similar side effects.
Therefore, also read the stories for, for instance, Levaquin.
As you can see on this site (first page) there are lots of stories.
I am sure you also will find some more on www.askapatient.com.
If you google quinolones, floxed and floxies you will find more.
As this type of antibiotic was suggested as a preventive medication for large groups of people (postal workers etc.) who might come in contact with Anthrax - there are plenty of testimonials.
That was some years ago.
I started to look for information in 2005 and was surprised at the amount . I had a friend who was put on this type of antibiotics.
I just love the Internet.
Without it I would not know what I know today - beware of all kind of medications.
Look for information - unbiased - and try to form your own opinion.
Trust your own feelings - it`s your body.
I realise that`s difficult if you become ill very suddenly but if your doctor is going to put you on a medication for the rest of your life (for instance statins - I really suggest that you do your own research).
