Anyone aware that the book "Eat Right for Your Type" (Peter D'Adamo)mentions that certain blood types should avoid fluoroquinolone antibiotics? My dad had type B or AB, not sure, and suffered severe side effects to Levaquin. I am sure that these are the types that must avoid these drugs.

I have never heard this. I'd like to know more if you have a specific reference.

The book is at any major book retail store and also at most health oriented food stores if they have a book section. Was it a coincidence that my dad had the side effects he said to look out for and many more? Will try to research this further.

I found "Eat Right For Your Type" online, it talks about different classes of antibiotics that each blood type should avoid. If you search for "quinolone", it should take you to the paragraph that talks about Type AB and B and avoiding quins.
