Has anyone had a rash or really bad itchy skin? Around mid body?...

I had mirena put in in march and took it out exactly 4 weeks later. I had many side effects but the worst and the breaking point was the hives that are still bothering me 2 months later. I can not find any other change in my environment that explains the horrible itchy hives all over my body. Has anyone else had this experience after removing the iud?

Hi, I had an intolerable rash with the Mirena. Had it removed at Family Planning Clinic (as doctor refused to believe it was the Mirena). Rash started to get better within a couple of days, and was practically gone within a week. I had a copper coil inserted a few weeks later. Much to my surprise I had a similar side effect, but nowhere near as bad, and that went within less than a week.

Yes, I have had a rash/hives with Mirena. It started all over my stomach and back... Now it has spread to my legs and arms. Very ichy. It has been four weeks since I had the Mirena. Very moody.
