I experienced the same thing!! You're not alone. We basically stopped having sex, and when we did I was in so much pain, it wasn't fun anymore. Like I said in my post earlier, as soon as I stopped using Nuva Ring, it was like someone flipped a switch. Everything is back to normal, my appetite is back to normal, my headaches are gone and sex is actually fun again. A lot of fun! Talk to your doctor asap and get back to being yourself!

I have the burning and pain here too. I went to my doctor about it and she said I had vestibulitis (kinda like vaginitis) and gave me pills and creams to take. Those haven't done one thing to help it. Neither do condoms or any of the lubes. The no sex drive and pain has really started to hurt my relationship with my fiance and any time we have sex or he begs to have sex we end up in a huge fight. I'm taking my ring out and hopefully I'll be back to like I was two years ago before I started the ring.

Yes, I have! I believe it might have been the ring. My boyfriend & I hadn't had problems until I was prescribed NuvaRing. It was fine at first, but then it progressed to become a problem. I had almost UTI-like signs & symptoms (frequent urination, pain while urinating) which would temporarily sooth the issue, but the pain was actually from my vagina. I told this to my doctor, and she said it might be a pH balance issue (which could be the case, due to my dislike of red meat consumption), and she told me to come back if nothing changed. Well, I came back & then she just recently prescribed me just a regular birth control pill. Hopefully it works. I would highly recommend going off of it - I COMPLETELY know how you feel. I haven't had the effects of this new medication kick in yet, but I'm crossing my fingers it won't be as painful as sex while on NuvaRing. It just stinks having to go back to the inconvenience of the pill after the once a month touch. Oh, well. Good luck!
